Graphic/Web Designer

Pyxl is growing! Locally and nationally, Pyxl is developing a portfolio of clients from small businesses to venture backed companies. We are seeking talented graphic designers to join our Knoxville and Tempe teams who can bring great ideas and unique design style to our projects. The ideal candidate will create graphic elements integral to campaigns and will work directly under the Art Director and other departments to integrate those designs with our web, social media, PR and marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is a team player who is excited to get involved with a company where new ideas are valued and customer satisfaction is our number one goal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attend and actively contribute to brainstorms and project meetings
• Develop strong creative concepts based on strategic and creative project goals
• Ensure creative concepts achieve client goals, while considering technological or budgetary restraints
• Collaborate effectively with other creatives, the project team and other department units
• Work with development partners and project managers to ensure a well-considered design becomes a reality; understand the importance of quality assurance
• Meet specifications and milestones in coordination with the interactive project manager in charge of the project at hand
• Explore and share new knowledge about trends, tools and techniques in graphic design
• Sell, present and work with clients as needed
• Work pro-actively, manage multiple projects, and perform under strict project deadlines

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Art, Graphic Design or related field
• Portfolio that demonstrates strong layout skills and understanding of UI and UX concepts
• At least 1-3 years of experience as an interactive designer
• Efficient at working on short turnaround projects.
• Vast and excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
• Exceptional sense for color, typography and photography
• Strong knowledge of the print production process
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Front-end development experience is not required but is a huge plus.

Web Developer

If you have significant experience developing quality websites and web applications - Pyxl is interested in talking with you. We are seeking self-motivated individuals who aren't afraid to jump in and get a project finished. Desired Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.

• Experience working with popular content management systems such as Wordpress, Expression Engine, MODx, Sitefinity, Kentico and Magento.

Social Media Specialist

Pyxl is looking for an energetic, motivated and social media-savvy professional to join the growing team in its Tempe, AZ office. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing, enthusiastic personality and a desire to get involved in the local community.

The new Social Media Specialist will be responsible for executing on social media strategies and campaigns for clients, including:

• Working in collaboration with Pyxl’s digital communications team to execute impactful social media marketing campaigns and content plans;
• Reporting and analyzing social media engagement metrics and campaign results;
• Researching and creating content for blog posts, social networks and digital outreach.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field
• Experience with popular social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and others
• Experience blogging
• Outgoing, enthusiastic personality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask, with great attention to detail
• A team player that enjoys project and social collaboration
• Active in the Tempe/Phoenix community
• Bilingual, English/Spanish speaking a plus
